¿Qué es mejor?
que un grupo de voluntarios haga un trabajo o pagarle a un grupo de expertos?
Bueno, hoy el director de la Enciclopedia Británica, considerado hasta hace unos años como el estándar de calidad de una enciclopedia, dijo que era muy superior a la Wikipedia, y que se asombraba que cuando se buscasen cosas en Google aparecieran primero artículos de Wikipedia que de la Británica, lo que demuestra que el Sr Cauz además no tiene idea de como funciona Google.
Como sea, hay algunos puntos interesantes, pero si uno busca, por ejemplo, Caries, esto es lo que encuentra, comparen y comenten:

Curiosamente, ambas definiciones están incorrectas y corresponde a definiciones de hace 10 años atrás, mientras que ahora ya el concepto es totalmente distinto.
Como sea, hoy por hoy desconocer el aporte de Wikipedia es una aberración, y las nuevas enciclopedias harían bien en contribuir a Wikipedia.

    You hit upon an extremely important aspect of modern time: educación permanente. For many 'Einstein' is the non-plus-ultra of modern physics. They don't know better and more than what was understood 20, 30, 50 years or more ago when visiting their schools or even University. Would we face a monetary catastrophe today, when Nobel Prize winners for economy had taken to heart lessons that could have been learned from demographics? Wouldn't we have a costly Climate scam at hand if meteorologists observed their local climates in nature again, and not from behind a computer terminal with pre-fab 'politically correct' temperature-tampering for their subsidies? Having said so, is adding lines to Wiki's a guarantee for actualidad, and factual 'truth'? On the other hand I agree that an Encyclopedia suffers from the same backlog and 'incubation time' before new findings are entered, particularly while peers must agree to them! Who are those peers on either side: Wiki and Ency. Apart from that paying for a slice of ??-information is another thing, I assume. In the end it doesn't matter so much I fear when you are hit by caries and a dentist starts drilling all along… :chef: :insane: :eyes: 😆
